Surprise!! x)
I’ve finally decided to move my lazy bum and start on this post, reason being that I’ve really got nothing else better to do now. I know how way overdue this is. Still, I would like to write it down before I forgot e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.
Warning: This post is gonna be really looooooong. =)
So, we’ve started planning this trip since July 2010. One month before the actual trip date. More time for us to procrastinate and to settle all the flights and rental and stuff. Kudos to the organiser, Shern Yang. Great job there. And also Tanvir, who got us the awesome deal for accommodation. (Y)
There’s a total of 10 of us going on this trip together. All college mates. Namely Shern Yang, Tanvir, King, Hoong Yeap, Tze Yeang, Mccall, Josh, Yan Le, Janice and yours truly. ^^
We decided to take the flight to Langkawi as the travelling hour for bus is too long, the schedule really inconvenient for us and most importantly, it’s only a mere 30 bucks difference. If I’m not mistaken. So AirAsia it is.
Day 1
Those of us PJ people plus Mccall, met up at the KL Sentral LRT station, took the bus to LCCT. But knowing Janice, she pre-booked the bus ticket to LCCT, so she has to leave first without us. Genius. xD
Reached LCCT around 50 minutes or so. Bus might be speeding, not too sure, was half way sleeping in the bus. >.<
Met up with everyone else there in front of McD, minus Tanvir and King that is. >:)
Shern Yang & I, in LCCT
Joshua & Yan Le, in LCCT
We were the last few passenger to board, as we were frantically calling Tanvir and King. They weren’t there with us. Ended up, they’re taking the next flight. xD AirAsia refuse to let them board because they were late. <s> not so </s>Poor thing.
The plane that we took
Were shoo-ed away by the security when taking this photo. xD
It only took us around 40 minutes from took off till touched down. Definitely less than 45 minutes, was planning for a short nap, but tak jadi. Went to settle the car rentals in one of the counters at the Langkawi International Airport. Yes we only got our cars when we reach there, no pre-booking no nothing, don’t think it’s necessary. There are a lot companies there, just be extra careful not to get conned. The price range vary from 100+ per day to a couple hundreds.
Settling car rental.
The very excited Janice and Tze Yeang.
Off we went, heading to Pantai Cenang direction. The motel/ resort that we’re staying in is somewhere along that road. Managed to find that place after overshot once. Checked in. Washed up. The girls’ room was more like a resort kinda rumah papan, whereas the guys’ rooms are more modernised cement houses.
Our room, Lading. Not bad at all for 65 bucks 2 nights. (Y)
But they charge you for everything extra.
View right outside of our room.
Headed down to Kuah town for lunch. Nothing scrumptious. Just some small coffee shop for Wantan Mee. Tasted extremely good, prolly cause we were all starving. After that went over to some nearby mall to get our supply of drinking water and kill time. Just because we were waiting for Tanvir and King to touch down from the next flight.
Langkawi has really good tourist map. As compared to PD.
Picked the two jokers up from airport, went back to the resort and just chill and hang out a bit. Waiting for the sun to get less burning. Found out that the guys are more afraid of the sun than we girls are. Some were looking all over for sunscreen. *roll eyes*
Kill time.
Finally around 4-ish, we decided it’s good enough the weather. Actually we were all itching to hit the beach already. It’s right outside our room! So the 1st day was mostly spent on the beach. Where we (Mccall to be specific) played with hermit crabs, we played with Mccall, snapped lots of photos, met this couple from Chile, played volleyball, took jump shots and also played volleyball with the guai lous, Good day!
No, this is not where we stayed. More expensive.
The guys’ rooms were one of those white single storey behind.
Pantai Cenang
Volley ball!
The beach in Langkawi is more firm compared to PD, easier to run around.
L to R: King, Shern Yang, Janice, Tze Yeang, me, Joshua, Yan Le, Mccall, Hoong Yeap, Tanvir
Keen King
Sand Therapy. Josh was laughing really hard.
Sand man!
I took awesome kung fu pictures.. x)
Went back to our room to get clean around 7. We were all starving. >.<
Drove down to Kuah town again. Picked a halal restaurant and had dinner there. The food was okay only.
And we were unsatisfied. It has failed to fill our hungry stomach. So we went around town again, looking for things to eat. It’s only around 9, but most of the shops are closed. Found a Pizza Shop, where the owner passed away two weeks ago. And by the time we went in, they are closing up already. Weird place.
The posers. Note that they actually went behind the bar and started playing. The workers were too busy to notice. xD
With all the food we da pao-ed, we could finally head back, contented. Hanged out in one of the guys room, makan. And played a couple of retarded games. The Mafia, Wink Wink game, and can’t remember. Owh, and we found out that Yan Le can’t wink. ;) It was already 3am when we decided to call it a day and went back to our room and sleep. Well not for Janice and I, we talked for another hour or so before we slowly doze off…
